Harmony’s Story

Harmony was born into a life of luxury, the daughter of a wealthy family with deep roots in high society. However, Harmony never felt at home among the opulence and privilege of her upbringing. From a young age, she was drawn to the darker aspects of life, sneaking out of her mansion at night to explore the seedier parts of town.

As she grew older, Harmony's fascination with the taboo only intensified. She began to keep secrets from her family, delving deeper into the underground world of crime and vice. Eventually, she became embroiled in a dangerous underworld of illegal dealings, and her life became a constant game of cat-and-mouse with law enforcement and rival gangs.

Despite her dangerous lifestyle, Harmony's family name and wealth often provided a shield of protection for her. Her family's connections and influence in high society allowed her to escape consequences that others would not be able to. When she was caught for her criminal activities, her family was able to use their resources to get her out of legal trouble.

However, this protection came at a cost. Harmony knew that her family's reputation was everything, and if it were to become tarnished by her actions, she would be disowned and cut off from her inheritance. This fear of losing everything added to the pressure of her situation, forcing her to constantly walk a tightrope between her dangerous lifestyle and her family's expectations.

Despite the benefits of her family name, Harmony could not shake the feeling that she did not truly belong in the world of privilege and wealth. She was always drawn back to the darker side of life, even if it meant putting herself in harm's way. In the end, it was this duality that made her both a powerful player in the world of organised crime and a fugitive on the run from her past.

It was the month of November when things took a turn for the different. Harmony could not quite ascertain whether it was for the better or worse, something she won’t even know till much later. As she sat at the office of a docking yard, brokering a high value deal, everything went wrong. Julian, whose only job was to watch out for the shore police, went missing. Disappeared. That snitch. Ten minutes into the meeting and money was about to exchange hands, the police showed up and bullets were fired from both sides. Harmony not only lost the shipment but also a boatload of cash. She was barely able to escape from the back door, shoes lost in the rush to save her own life. She ran. And she ran till she reached the main road and caught a bus. No idea where it went.

Checking into a motel for the night, cash only of course, Harmony sat at the edge of the bed and wondered if this is how it was meant to end for her. She could always walk away from it all and go back home, but there were people who’d come after her. At that very moment, there was a slight knock on the door. She froze. Another knock. “Ms Sandalphon?” The voice was unfamiliar. She did not move. She did not speak. She even tried not to breathe. And then she noticed something being slipped under the door. “I think you should call this number, Ms Sandalphon.” And then silence.

Harmony waited a whole hour before going to the door to pick up what looked like a card. And it was. Dark black with a gold emblem. Behind it, a phone number.
